Improved UV Output Monitoring from Aquionics at INTERPHEX 2011
New system offers disinfection with validated results
Erlanger, Kentucky (January 14, 2011) – Leading UV disinfection specialist Aquionics will unveil its PharmaLine PQ UV disinfection system at INTERPHEX 2011, March 29-31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (New York, NY). The new system, for use in pharmaceutical and biotech applications, will be on display at the company’s booth #1973.
PharmaLine PQ is engineered and has been 3rd party validated for use in the production of pharmaceutical and healthcare products, which requires water that is free of pathogens and chemicals like chlorine and ozone. Water passed through the system is exposed to UV light, which destroys microorganisms’ ability to reproduce. While legacy units display 0-100% relative UV intensity readings, PharmaLine PQ‘s dosage display validates disinfection by confirming that the unit is generating the appropriate UV output to kill various microorganisms, yeast, mold and algae. Aquionics’ UV systems help provide water to the highest possible standards as demanded by regulatory bodies such as the FDA, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
